The books, the stock and the GST of a handloom cooperative, in one place.

BastraLekha runs the counter at every outlet, keeps each saree's stock and cost, posts the accounts as it sells, and prepares the returns — built around how Odisha's weavers' cooperatives actually trade.

30 days free, no payment to start. Then one yearly plan.

Everything a cooperative's accountant is asked for

Not generic retail software with a handloom label. The counter, the godown, the loom and the government schemes a cooperative answers for are built in.

At the counter

Bill at the counter — even when the line drops

  • Scan a saree's own tag or a design code; the till keeps the catalogue and bills offline.
  • Cash, card, UPI and credit on one bill; a GST invoice or an 80 mm receipt.
  • Festival rebates and approved markdown prices applied line by line, automatically.
  • Returns as credit notes, with refunds, exchanges or credit kept on account.

Stock and expos

Every saree, every branch, every mela

  • Each unique saree tracked piece by piece; stoles and dress material by count.
  • Purchase orders to weaver societies, delivered in parts and billed against.
  • Transfers on numbered delivery challans, received with any shortage recorded.
  • Expo stalls stocked and brought back, with a close-out count a second person approves.

Weaving

From the yarn to the finished saree

  • Yarn bought by weight and lot, issued to weavers on job-work challans.
  • Woven pieces received back with the weaver's wage booked and wastage checked against the norm.
  • The section 143 register of yarn still out, and ITC-04, from the same records.

Handloom Mark

Genuine handloom, accounted for label by label

  • Handloom Mark and India Handloom Brand rolls received by number, each label used once.
  • The label number printed on the invoice, so a buyer can check it.
  • Slow stock marked down by age or in a clearance sale — proposed by one person, approved by another.

Government and GST

The schemes and returns a cooperative answers for

  • GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and the HSN summary straight from the books.
  • Festival rebates claimed from the government; the NHDP Marketing Incentive worked out from eligible turnover.
  • GeM contracts followed to the CRAC, and the GST TDS government buyers deduct, reconciled with their GSTR-7A.
  • Double-entry books that post themselves, and an audit trail nobody can edit.

Only sales bills use credits — purchases, stock, accounts and reports never do, and a bill taken offline is never refused. APIE sends a GST invoice; pay by bank transfer or UPI. How the subscription works.

Controls an auditor can check

Cooperatives are audited every year. BastraLekha keeps the trail the audit asks for, and makes the risky things need two people.

  • Every change to a record is in the audit trail — who, when, from where, before and after.
  • Invoices, credit notes, challans and vouchers are numbered without gaps, per branch and year.
  • Selling beyond recorded stock, discounts past the cap, stock-take and expo variances, markdowns and excess yarn wastage each need an approval.
  • Roles are separated: the administrator cannot unlock a closed period, and the auditor's role can only read.

Your data stays yours

You own every record. Export it any time, in open formats, without asking us.

  • If a subscription lapses, new bills pause — records are never deleted, locked or withheld.
  • Everything stays readable, printable and exportable in every state.
  • Stored in India. Portable to a state data centre if procurement requires it.
